- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbl. four
- 4 C. peeled, diced pears*

Strusel topping
- 1/4 C. flour
- 1/4 C. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 C. butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/4 C. chopped pecans (optional)

* I used Red Bartlett pears

Blend sour cream, egg, sugar, vanilla, salt and four until smooth. Fold in pears. Pour into the pie shell and bake @ 375 degrees for 40 min. Remove, sprinkle with topping and bake for another 10 minutes. Cool and serve.

my favorite part is the unbaked 9" pie shell. i envy people that want to even attempt to make a pie crust. i know it shouldn't be that difficult...just one of those things that makes me feel not too good about my cooking skizzles after a few tries.... looks yummy! you ready for some nertz grrrrrrl?
